Back Patio Electrical Upgrade — Milton, WA
This Milton homeowner expanded their patio to create a welcoming outdoor cooking and entertaining space. Nexen Electrical Contractors completed the electrical work to support the new grill and hood setup, installed four 6-inch LED wafer lights to illuminate the covered patio, and added a receptacle for a refrigerator beneath the grill area.
We also installed an outlet for a fountain, bringing another finishing touch to the outdoor space. Throughout the project, we carefully routed the wiring out of sight to preserve the patio’s clean appearance and keep the focus on the finished design.

Dual Panel Replacement, Service Disconnects, Generator Inlet & Grounding — Eatonville, WA
In these photos, you’ll see two existing Zinsco electrical panels that were still in service at the customer’s home. Due to the age and condition of the existing equipment, the customer chose to upgrade both panels to provide a safer, more reliable electrical system.
As part of this project, we removed the two existing Zinsco panels and replaced them with two new Square D panelboards. We also installed two new exterior emergency service disconnects, providing a readily accessible means of disconnecting power to the home while bringing the service equipment up to current code requirements.
The existing feeders and branch circuits were transferred into the new equipment, and the grounding and bonding system was updated as part of the installation.
These upgrades provide the customer with modern electrical equipment, improved safety, and a more reliable electrical system for years to come.

We also reviewed the electrical panel and updated the circuit labeling on both the main panel and generator transfer switch. Clear, organized labeling makes it easier for the homeowner to identify circuits during everyday use, maintenance, or an outage.

In these photos, you’ll see an old existing electrical panel located on the exterior of the customer’s garage. The existing equipment had become aged, corroded, and deteriorated over time. To provide a safer and more reliable installation, we installed a new outdoor rated junction box, extended the existing branch circuits, and relocated them into a new panel installed inside the customer’s garage.
As part of this project, we also brought the exterior meter equipment up to current code requirements, improving both safety and long term reliability for the customer. We also updated the grounding system by adding an additional ground rod to further enhance the safety and performance of the installation.
